Air Emission Approvals
In Ontario, virtually all sources of air
emissions require approval from the Ontario Ministry of the
Environment prior to construction or modification. The
Environmental Compliance Approval (formerly called Certificate of
Approval) process requires that the contaminants from the air
emission source be determined, and the impact of the contaminants
be compared to Ministry standards.
Cotter assists companies in obtaining
Approvals for air emissions. Cotter can prepare an Emission
Summary and Dispersion Modelling Report (as defined by the
Ministry of the Environment), which could describe all sources of
air emissions from a facility and compare facility emissions with
prescribed standards.
Cotter can also assist companies in
managing Emission Summary and Dispersion Modelling Reports on an
ongoing basis, as required by a Basic Comprehensive Environmental
Compliance Approval.
