Regulatory Reporting In Ontario, Regulation 127/01 requires that owners and operators of industrial, commercial and other facilities are required to report annually to the Ministry of the Environment with on a number of substances that are released from their building into the air. The most common releases that require reporting are fuel heating combustion by-products, but industrial process emissions are also included. Annual reports must be submitted by June 1 for the previous calendar year's emissions. At the Canadian government level, the National Pollutant Release Inventory is a federal regulatory requirement where owners or operators of industrial facilities that manufacture, process or use specified quantities of chemical substances are required to report their off-site transfers (discharges and waste shipments) annually . These reports are also due by June 1 of each year. Since 2011 in Ontario, manufacturers and mining companies that meet the requirements for reporting under the NPRI must also assess their reporting requirements under the Toxics Reduction Act, 2009. This legislation also requires annual reporting and the development of toxic reduction plans for specified substances. Cotter assists companies in meeting these regulatory requirements, and in the management of the information associated with them. |
